Photography
The word "photography" comes from two Greek words, "phos" and "graphe", that when used together mean "drawing with light". To me, that gives the impression of photography as a relationship between art and science. Excellent photography properly balances that relationship creating an image that can stir up emotions and leave an impression for a lifetime. That is what I love about photography. It gives me the ability to explore the artistic and the scientific, all while capturing a moment in time to make it last forever.
Style
My style of photography leans towards a more photojournalistic approach, trying to capture moments that are natural and unposed. Of course, there are situations which require some posing, such as portraiture, which just give me the opportunity to be more creative and artistic. With senior and family portraiture, especially, I strive to capture images that reflect the beauty and uniqueness of each personality.
Life
Life is nothing without the people you love... family and friends. Capturing special days and moments with those loved ones is what I have a passion for. But while photography is a passion for me, my ultimate love is for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His grace and mercy overwhelm me daily. His word IS pure life. And it is only by His grace that I can do what I love to do. And I pray that I can use the talents he has given me to show his grace to others!
